National Higher Education Benchmark Institute Staff

Jeff Seybert is Director at the National Higher Education Benchmarking Institute (NHEBI) at Johnson County Community College. Prior to assuming directorship of the Benchmarking Institute, he served as Director of Institutional Research at JCCC for 21 years. From 1974-1981, Jeff served as assistant professor of psychology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Jeff holds a doctoral and master's degree in experimental psychology from the University of Oklahoma and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Cal-State Long Beach. Jeff is past president of the National Community College Council for Research and Planning and the Mid-America Association for Institutional Research, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Association for Institutional Research (AIR). He serves as associate editor for Planning for Higher Education, consulting editor for the Journal of Applied Research in the Community College, and The AIR Professional File, consulting editor and contributing columnist for Assessment Update, and project director for the Kansas Study of Community College Instructional Costs and Productivity and the National Community College Benchmark Project Jeff has published more than 50 articles and book chapters and served as consultant to more than 100 colleges, non-profit, and other organizations in the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, Australia, Chile, the Pacific Region, and the Caribbean in the areas of assessment of student outcomes and institutional effectiveness, program evaluation, strategic planning, and institutional research. |

Patrick Rossol-Allison is Director of Institutional Research at Johnson County Community College and advises the National Higher Education Benchmarking Institute (NHEBI) on the National Community College Benchmark Project (NCCBP) and the national Kansas Study of Community College Instructional Costs and Productivity. Previously he was Senior Research Analyst at NHEBI. Before joining the institute, he served as Vice President of the international renewable energy market researcher EuPD Research. Patrick built the new National Community College Benchmark Project (NCCBP) website collecting 145 benchmarks from 280 community colleges nationwide. Patrick is past president of the Mid-America Association for Institutional Research (MidAIR). On the national level, he is a member various committees of the Association for Institutional Research (AIR). Patrick has attended and presented research as well as technology workshops at various conferences. He is co-organizer of the annual National Benchmarking Conference. Patrick received his master's degree in Political Science from the University of Bonn in Germany and attended Duke University as a DAAD scholar. He is fluent in Spanish, German and various computer programming languages. |

Maura L. Gomez-McCool is Senior Research and Data Analyst for the National Higher Education Benchmarking Institute (NHEBI), the National Community College Benchmarking Project (NCCBP) and the Kansas Study of Community College Instructional Costs and Productivity. Maura holds a master’s degree in Experimental Psychology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has done some doctoral work at the University of Missouri- Kansas City. Maura has years of experience utilizing technical software to perform multivariate and non-parametric statistics. She holds a Green Belt Sig Sigma Certification. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. |
